The back block to rear of No 88 is noted in thesis (S3), which considers the 13th- to 17th-century buildings of Norwich. It is described as a two-storeyed, single-cell building with flint rubble walls, ranged at right angles to, and partly incorporated into the 18th-century street range. The chimney stack is on the rear wall (as seen from the street) and has associated stairs. It was given a second floor in the 18th century.
