Summary
A medieval flint and mortar-lined well 7 metres deep to the water-line and with an intact timber base ring was found next to the wall of the pub by workmen in 1990.

Full Description
Well inside pub was constructed of flint and mortar.
1m diameter about 0.2m wide. 7m to water level (excavated by builders). Timber ring at base intact. Chalk at bottom.
Located adjacent to wall of pub, 8m from pavement edge.
