Summary

The former use of No 29 is unknown, but it is currently a shop. The building has a date of 1612 in the spandrels of one of the doors, and the markings 'TFS', which are thought to stand for Thomas Shipdown who was Mayor in 1631. The building itself is of painted brick with a pantile roof and is two storeys high, with a 20th century glazed shopfront. The two back blocks are closely related in date, the northern dating to around 1620 and the southern to around 1650.
