Summary

No 20 has a magnificent 19th century shop front with leaded overlights and stained glass. There are even the remains of the original 'three dimensional' lettering above, behind a more recent fascia. The cellars of this late 18th century building may belong to it, or they may derive from an earlier 17th century building.

Observations of excavated shafts.
Extensive demolition layers of buildings and later infilling of Great Cockey valley, both undated but perhaps 17th and 18th century. Cellars of existing building may belong with it or may remain from an earlier 17th century building.
