Summary

Metal-detecting between 1990 and 2019 recovered Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins, post-medieval jettons and tokens and a range of other, Late Iron Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Iron Age/Roman harness mount; Roman brooches; an Early Saxon to Late Saxon unidentified copper alloy object; a Late Saxon stirrup mount; a Late Saxon/medieval lead spindle whorl; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories (including a post-medieval silver dress fastener); medieval mounts, book fittings, tweezers, a purse fitting, harness mount, casket key, thimble, probable binding strip from furniture and lead ampulla; medieval/post-medieval mounts and a book fitting and a post-medieval book clasp and lead bag or bale seal.
