Full Description
Site of windmill or windpump.
A trestle smock mill at Fritton was demolished in the 1920s or 1930s. No windmill shown on six inch Ordnance Survey map of 1891.

April 2017. Watching Brief.
Maintained during flood defence works close to site of skeleton mill.
These works had no direct impact on the remains of the mill.
It is noted that the site of the mill is marked by a rise in the ground, within which is a brick constructed channel and sluice. Rusty sluice machinery is located on top of the rise.
A review of the available cartographic evidence suggests this windpump was probably installed between 1884 and 1903 and remained standing until the late 1940s and 1950s.
