Summary

No 79 is a 17th century timber-framed cottage, with a 19th century brick faced end wall. This one storey building has a steep pantile roof with gabled ends, and an off centre brick chimneystack. There is a 20th century one storey shop on the end facing the road. There is the chance that the building contains the remains of a late medieval hall house.
