Summary

In 1990 the skeleton of a mature female, laying roughly east to west, was revealed by workmen digging drains. The skeleton was thought to be at least a hundred years old, but due to the lack of any other evidence could not be accurately dated. The remains were reburied in the same area.

30 April 1990. 190 yards southeast of church. Found while digging trench across playing field for sewers.
Mature female skeleton about 20 inches (51cm) deep on natural, laying approximately east to west.
Bones reburied elsewhere in trench.
