Summary

Metal detecting in 1989 recovered a Roman coin minted under Antoninus Pius, as well as a number of objects from the post medieval period including a fob seal with a crowned thistle and rose, dating to the 18th century.

Roman coin, sestertius of Antoninus Pius, AD 138-161 (?).
Form in file.
Identified by E. B. Green (NCM).
Post medieval half groat Elizabeth I, escallop initial mark (1584/5 - 1587).
16th century double looped buckle decorated with engraved ribbing.
16th/17th century hooked tag;
Bronze finger ring in form of belt.
Charles I sixpence (1625-26).
Fob seal with crowned thistle and rose, 18th century.
Horse harness pendant, probably medieval.
