Summary

Metal detecting in 1990 recovered a medieval penny, a 14th century tanged belt slide, a gilt uniform mount and a papal bull of Innocent VI in very fine condition. In 1993 a number of medieval pottery sherds were also recovered.

Short cross penny, probably Henry III class 70-8) rev: IOHAN.ON.SANT (Bury St. Edmunds).
14th century bronze tanged belt slide.
Gilt bronze medieval uniform mount; three rivet holes (one with iron rivet) curved section; engraved decoration includes cross.
Bull of Innocent VI in very fine condition.

February 1993. Metal detector finds and field collection.
One lead pot-mend still containing a sherd of medieval Glazed Grimston.
One base sherd medieval Glazed Grimston.
One base sherd medieval glazed, oxidised.
