Summary

Metal-detecting between before 1990 and 2019 recovered Roman and medieval pottery sherds; Roman coins and medieval and post-medieval tokens; and undated, Early Bronze Age to Early Saxon and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include undated unidentified objects; an Early Bronze Age ear ring and finger ring; a Bronze Age to Iron Age razor; Roman bowl and bucket fragments, brooches, a finger ring, bracelet, strap fitting, unidentified object, ear ring and steelyard weight; an Early Saxon brooch; a Late Saxon spindle whorl and strap fitting; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval cauldron fragment, furniture fitting, and purse fragment; and post-medieval unidentified objects, a book fitting, coin weight, dress hook, knife fragment and spur fragment. These finds are from Fincham parish but no accurate locational information is available.
