Summary

Metal detecting in 1989 to 1990 and 2001 recovered a number of metal objects from the Roman and Middle Saxon to post medieval periods, including an 8th century gilt copper alloy plaque decorated with a pair of animals. It is also thought that a Neolithic scraper, fabricators and arrowhead, now in the NCM, were recovered from this area.
