Full Description
Early 1991. Found after ploughing. Context 2 at TG 0084 3802. Bale Road Field.
'Saddle' quern. Flat base, concave upper smoothed surface. Erratic sandstone. Roughly rectangular 36cm by 32cm. Little recent damage

1996. Fieldwalking. Context 1. Casual pottery finds in new field.
Two Roman grey, one body sherd with profuse organic inclusions, possibly Early Saxon.
Three medieval unglazed, one possible glazed Grimston.

April 1999. Field observation. About a third of the way from Harcourt's to road.
Broken secondary flint flake, proximal end missing.

December 1999. East end, road side verge, Roper's gateway, middle wide place.
Secondary flint flake with cortex on left edge only, right edge retouched and heavily worn.

December 2001. Surface find. Found beside road near Home Field.
Retouched flake: Tertiary flake, snapped at distal end, minor retouch on left edge, reversed retouch on the right edge. Undatable prehistoric.
