Metal detecting here in this area in 1991 recovered a single medieval coin. It was identified as a Henry III long-cross penny dating to 1251-1272.

Henry III long-cross penny, Class 5 (1251-1272).
Obverse: HENRICVS REX III (begins after sceptre).
Reverse: WILLEM ON CANT (Canterbury mint, moneyer Willem).
