Summary

This may be an early 17th century timber framed and rendered wattle and daub house. Alternatively it has been suggested that the building dates to two periods; the late 16th century and around 1600.

(S1) says: Early 17th century house, timber framed, rendered wattle and daub. Four light ovolo moulded window now behind 20th century porch. South gable wall has two restored three light ovolo mullioned windows each side of 20th century opening and four light similar window at first floor under dripmould. East facade had further mullioned windows. Tongue stopped and chamfered bridging beams and joints. Close studded timber frame. Rebuilt fireplace. Double stopped bridging beam in kitchen. Winder staircase by stack. Roof of collars, one tier clasping purlins and windbraces.
Location recorded by E. Rose (NLA), 30 October 1991 but no detailed inspection. North gable faces onto street.

Norfolk Historic Building Group survey dates building to two periods; late 16th century and around 1600; suggests cross-passage plan with unglazed windows.
