Summary

Metal detecting at this spot has recovered Late Saxon and medieval fragments of pottery, a Roman coin and medieval metal finds. Later NAU fieldwork recorded a scatter of prehistoric worked flint flakes and Roman pottery, mostly on the west side of the field. This may be the edge of an area of Roman settlement (NHER 28279).
