Summary

Fieldwalking and metal detecting here in 1991 recovered a variety of objects including prehistoric flint scrapers and flakes, a medieval brooch, medieval and post medieval pottery sherds and buckles.

1991. Fieldwalking and metal detecting. From building site, corner of Carver's Land and Chapel Road.
Three flint scrapers, eight flakes, some with reworking.
Medieval pottery, including Late medieval transitional ware.
Medieval glit bronze openwork lozenge shaped 'ring' brooch. Decorated on both faces with moulded pellets, no pin. Copy of polaroid (S1) in file.
Post medieval buckle, 17th century, decorated with frame (cast foliage). Copy of polaroid (S1) in file.
15th/16th century buckle, decorated with punched annulets. Copy of polaroid (S1) in file.
?Post medieval pipe tamper. Copy of polaroid (S1) in file.
