Summary

Metal-detecting in 1991 recovered a Roman brooch. Metal-detecting in 2004-5 recovered a Roman coin, a medieval coin and a medieval hooked tag. Metal-detecting in 2010 recovered a medieval/post-medieval vessel or flask fragment and an incomplete post-medieval crotal bell.

Colchester type brooch, part of spring, pin, and perforated catchplate missing. Forward hook. Small wings. Mid 1st century AD.

Record expanded from a point to a polygon covering the entire area of the 'green.' Is it likely that the 1991 finds were recovered from the area of the pond and the subsequent finds were recovered from the surrounding area.
