Summary

Metal detecting in 1991 and 1993 recovered a medieval bronze stud, post medieval coins, a coin weight and a button. Also found were a post medieval trade token and a decorated silver seal matrix.

Full Description

December 1991. Metal detecting.
Mary, quartered groat.
Charles I royal farthing token.
English 17th century coin weight.
Identified by J.A.Davies (NCM) 6 January 1992.
Medieval bronze belt stud.
17th century octagonal button.
Identified by S.Margeson (NCM) 6 January 1992.

February/March 1993. Metal detecting.
17th century farthing token.
Obverse; IOHN MOREFELD = IM
Reverse; HADDENHAM CARRIER. Williamson type 67 (Bucks) 1648-72.
Silver seal matrix, top of handle broken off. Oval with milled border within which profile male bust facing right, pointed beard and long flowing hair. Looks like Charles I.
