Summary

An irregular rectangular ditch marked on maps is thought to have been a medieval moated site. Roman and large quantities of medieval pottery fragments are reported to have been found. Today, however, any remaining traces of a moat have been destroyed by agriculture.

Two Roman sherds and 'tons' of medieval sherds from here stated to have been identified by W.Milligan (NCM) but no record received by February 1992

Site under arable, with much churning by farm vehicles around large manure heap. Farm worker informed me that any ditches were filled in 20 years ago.
