Full Description
5 April 1991. Field walking finds.
Area of garden examined. 18th century pot etc not collected.
Probably valid evidence for no medieval occupation.
Former common.
See (S1).
A. Rogerson (NLA), March 1992.
These cottages are shown on (S2) as Rattle Row, a name that in Norfolk tradition is supposedly derived from the noise of weaver's looms; but is more probably allied to Rotten Row, which originated as Ratoun or rat infested.
E. Rose (NLA), November 2001.
