NHER 28994 (Find Spot record) - Multi-period finds

May-August 1992. Fieldwalking and Metal-Detecting Survey and Watching Brief.
Fieldwork carried out along route of Yelverton to East Carleton Gas Pipeline (Survey Blocks 54-61).
Finds recovered during initial survey include:
3 prehistoric flint flakes and 'pot boilers'.
1 medieval brick/tile fragment and bottle glass.
9 post-medieval pottery sherds.
Undatable smithing slag.
No archaeologically significant features or deposits identified during subsequent Watching Brief undertaken during topsoil stripping and excavation of pipe trench.

There are also minor discrepancies between the information given in (S1) and that which was initially supplied following the completion of the fieldwork (S3).
The finds have been deposited with the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1995.75).
