Summary

An NAU watching brief in advance of the Norwich Southern Bypass development found two pits filled with burnt flint and charcoal. Six patches of burning and charcoal were also recorded. One Roman coin dating to the 2nd century AD was recovered. These pits and burnt patches may be prehistoric hearths, but this interpretation is not clear.
