Summary

Between 1991 and 1992 a watching brief was carried out here during the construction of the Southern bypass. A number of Prehistoric and Neolithic flint tools were recovered, as well as a Roman coin, medieval metalwork, and post medieval tokens. A pit with burnt material was also discovered, and thought to date to the prehistoric period.
