Summary

This is the site of a post medieval brickworks, including a brick kiln, that is shown on an early 20th century Ordnance Survey map. The house that now stands on the site is thought to be more than 150 years old but no buildings are shown on early 19th century Ordnance Survey maps.

Stated by [1] to comprise 'complete' works including a kiln; used to construct house, and now preserved by owner. Informant states house is 150 to 200 years old; (S1) however shows no building on site. (S2) shows house, and pit where brickworks is stated to be.
