Summary

Metal detecting in 1992 recovered a very fine medieval lead weight. Shaped like a shield, the weight has the arms of England (three leopards) and is pierced by a square hole in the top edge of the 'castellated' border.

Medieval lead weight. Shield shaped with Arms of England (three leopards) and pierced square hole in top edge 'castellated' border (shield raised above border). Top edge decorated with zig-zag and pellets. Very Fine. Weight 414g.
