Medieval and Undated sherds.

7 October 1997. Partial fieldwalking. 3 dark soil patches noted, see sketch plan in file.
Area of dark patches:
3 body sherds glazed and 1 body sherd probably Glazed Grimston.
8 body sherds medieval unglazed.
1 bowl rim and 9 body sherds medieval unglazed, blotchy and partly or completely oxidised. Firing suggests probably manufacturing rejects.
Near buildings to south:
3 body sherds Glazed Grimston.
9 body sherds medieval unglazed.
1 body sherd medieval unglazed (blotchy/oxidised).
1 post medieval stoneware.

Early 1999. Field walking.
Rapid fieldwalk by A. Rogerson (NLA) and [1] showed a concentration of sherds in area of [2] on plan, and to the south.
Medieval unglazed: 3 jar rims (icluding one "frilly), 3 bowl rims, 3 basal sherds and 16 bs
Medieval unglazed oxidised/blotchy: 1 ? 'frilly' jar rim and 16 bs.
Glazed grimstone: 7 bs.

3 November 1998. Field observation.
Information reported by A. Rogerson (NLA) 29 June 1999 is incorrect in that the finds reported were recovered by [1] alone, not with A. Rogerson (NLA).
Field walking by A. Rogerson (NLA) and [1] was carried rapidly on 3 November 1998 and finds were recovered from general areas 1 and 2 outlined on plan.
