Summary

Fieldwalking and metal detecting in these fields have recovered prehistoric flints (including a notched Mesolithic flake), pottery dating from the Roman to the post medieval periods, and medieval roof tiles. Pit-like anomalies were identified during a geophysical survey carried out by Network Archaeology in 1999 in advance of the construction of a new pipeline.
