Summary

Metal-detecting from 1993 to 2022 recovered an Early Neolithic flint laurel leaf; a Neolithic flint core; a Neolithic/Early Bronze Age flint flake; Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Late Saxon and medieval to post-medieval coins; medieval and post-medieval jettons and tokens and a range of other, undatable and Early/Middle Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undatable lead weight; pieces of decorated gold sheet of probable Early/Middle Bronze Age date; Roman brooches; a Roman to medieval copper ally pin; an Early Saxon wrist clasp; a Late Saxon buckle; Late Saxon/medieval lead spindle whorls; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories (including a post-medieval silver dress hook); medieval harness pendants, a casket key, mirror case, zoomorphic mount, cauldron leg, silver, copper alloy and lead seal matrices and lead ampulla; a medieval/post-medieval silver mount or dress fastener; post-medieval harness mounts, rotary keys, a thimble, rowel spur, padlock and silver probable hawking or huntsman's whistle and a post-medieval/modern machine fragment.
