Summary

This tiny farmstead dates to around 1800. The farmhouse itself forms a rectangular court with the barn. The barn is small and made from red and black chequer brick with a pantiled roof. Incised roughly on the west gable wall to the road reads 'Titanic lost 15 April 1912 over 1600 lives'. This is clearly genuine although the number of lives lost is inaccurate and reflects the early exaggerated reports.

Map

Tiny farmstead, apparently dating to around 1800. Farmhouse not in itself of great interest, and brick sheds now ?converted to housing? form rectangular court with barn. This is small, red and black chequer brick, pantiled roof; dentilled cornice; central cart doors. Incised roughly on west gable wall to road is 'TITANIC LOST 15 APRIL 1912 OVER 1600 LIVES'. This is clearly genuine; the number of lives lost is innaccurate and reflects the early exaggerated reports.
