Summary

A 17th-century two-storey timber-framed house with a plastered front and weatherboarded ends. There is evidence of some original mullioned windows. Major remodelling of the building was carried out in about 1830, including the addition of a new façade, a rear extension and internal corridors.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Farmhouse. 17th century house. Timber-framed plastered front, weatherboarded ends and roughcast rear. Steep slated roof with gable ends. Two storeys. Old three-light casements with glazing bars. Left hand fielded panel door. Chimney stack off centre with diagonally set brick shafts. Later outshut at rear (north)."

February 1992. Building Survey.
Timber framed house, three cell, two storeys. Cross passage with blocked doors. Service cell divided into buttery and pantry. However, original stairs were beside off-centre stack with shafts. Evidence of glazed mullioned windows in central cells and of unglazed diamond mullioned windows in service end. Roof truss with arched brace to one side only. Dated by informant to early 17th century. Regency façade, clay lump extension and internal corridors added in about 1830.
