Map

3 November 1989. NAU air photography.
Earthworks adjacent to Old Hall Farm. Earthworks of sinuous tracks, small ?toft enclosures
M. Flitcroft (NLA), February 1993.

The `tracks' are in fact old drains leading from existing drains to waterfilled pits, but the small rectangular enclosure is most unusual it is not like a toft and is hard to explain, but seems too small for a moat.
E. Rose (NLA), 18 February 1993.

October 1998. Earthwork Survey.
Survey at 1:1000 having extended site area.
Incompete boundaries of a series of mostly ditched enclosures north of Old Hall Farm. A former common-edge ditch can be seen to the east of the site. Details on (S1) are close to present layout, the main field labelled Barn Meadow the western field Upper Meadow. The central earthworks near the pond predate the map.
See report (S2) for further details. This site was included in (S3) and the survey is also noted in (S4).
B. Cushion (NLA), 14 October 1998. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 31 March 2015.
