Full Description
The earthworks previously included within this site are now recorded under NHER 50893.
1988. NCC/BKS vertical survey of Norfolk
Earthworks and soilmarks are visible on the NCC/BKS vertical survey of Norfolk 1988.
These consist of possible tracks and enclosures in the field between the village and the river.
The site was located during the NLA earthwork survey, January 1993.
M. Flitcroft (NLA), 4 February 1993.
1993. Field Survey and Find.
There are some slight signs of the cropmarks of linear features, enclosures and tracks, seen on air photographs as ploughed out earthworks, but these are not seriously identifiable. The earthworks near the river valley flood plain are irregular and considered natural.
Medieval unglazed pottery was found at TG 0160 2020. Identified by A. Rogerson (NLA).
B. Cushion (NLA), 4 February 1993.
NGR corrected from original TG 0165 2025.
M. Horlock (NLA), 27 March 2003.
January-February 2015. Metal-detecting. [1].
1 Roman coin.
1 medieval jetton and a thimble.
Information from PAS import.
A. Beckham (HES), 7 April 2014.
