The cropmarks of a possible prehistoric to Roman enclosure and boundary ditches are seen on aerial photographs (S1). The features most likely relate to multiple phases. It is likely most of the features are Iron Age to Roman in date, however, it possible that some of the features could be Bronze Age in date. A possible Iron Age to Roman trackway (NHER 52546) and a boundary ditch appear to overlay the enclosure; However, the relationship between the enclosure, trackway and boundary ditch is unclear. Due to a lack of control points the aerial photographs were secondary transformed. This may have a slight effect on the locational accuracy of the mapping.
J. Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 17 January 2022.
