Summary

A large earthen mound is situated at this location, and its presence is noted on estate records. This feature is believed to be of post medieval date, although its function is uncertain. The area it is located in is under a good covering of grass, and the mound itself remains relatively undisturbed.

Map

Oblong mound, about 50m east-to-west and about 40m north-to-south with height of about 1.5m to north and east and around 4m to south and east. Situated on probable slight natural rise to east of valley with lake.
Dimensions have to be coarse estimates due to nature of slopes.
No structure remains evidence - estate records apparently confirm existence of mound.
