Summary

Grey Gables is a timber framed house, possibly containing the remnants of a hall house whose parlour end was rebuilt and stack inserted around 1600. Most of this older section was demolished in the 19th century, and the house was rewalled around 1946.

"Grey Gables, Common Road. Hardwick.
17th century timber-framed house, rendered. South end wall brick faced in 20th century. Steep pantile roof with gabled ends. Brick chimney stack off centre. Two storeys. Modern metal frame casements. Plank door in front of stack."
