Summary

Metal detecting here in 1993 recovered a Late Saxon box mount along with a Late Saxon or medieval pan from a set of balances. A medieval coin, post medieval weight and undatable casting waste were also recovered by metal detecting in 2007.

Late Saxon three-armed box mount; each arm in form of stylised animal head. Pierced hole in centre. Engraved linear ornament and slightly angled flange with single rivet hole and iron inside. Ringerike style.

Late Saxon or medieval bronze dished balance pan, with three holes for suspension near rim.
