Summary

Fieldwalking in 1993 during golf course construction recovered a total of 172 pot boilers, two prehistoric pottery sherds, one post medieval and one medieval sherd.

Concentration of prehistoric burnt flints (172 'pot boilers')
1 medieval pottery sherd (unglazed).
1 post-medieval pottery sherd (oxidised).
Four test holes were excavated within the area of the burnt flint concentration, although these proved inconclusive as the the nature of the underlying archaeology.
