Summary

This farm-building complex dates from the 16th/17th century onwards. The complex consists of a timber-framed house, U-shaped moat and small building used as a dairy. There was once a barn here too but this was demolished sometime before 1993.

U-shaped pond identified as moat by surveyors.
Timber framed house with mullioned windows and notched stops, 16th or 17th century.
In addition a small building with upper floor having arched braces, expanded wallposts and diamond mullioned windows, semi domestic function.
Barn demolished; timbers seen afterwards with notched stops.

The 1973 listing specifically includes the small building which it says was in use as a dairy but was not intended for that function. It also notes that a north wing of the house has had its roof lowered and the main house has an exposed timber frame which it dates to the 17th century.
