Summary

Metal-detecting between 1993 and 2004 recovered a Mesolithic flint awl; a Neolithic flint projectile point; a potentially prehistoric flint bead/pendant; a Roman coin; four Middle Saxon coins; medieval coins and Late Roman/Early Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Roman/Early Saxon buckle; Early Saxon brooches and gilt plate; a Middle Saxon pin; a Late Saxon disc brooch and stirrup strap mount; medieval brooches, buckle and copper alloy seal matrix and a post-medieval hooked tag and furniture fitting.

1 Roman/Early Saxon buckle. Late 4th to 5th century 'Invaders and Settlers' type buckle fragment. Three bars decorated with rows of punched dots.
