Summary

Metal detecting in 1993 recovered sixteen Roman coins. A medieval bronze sword chape (scabbard) with elaborate decoration, and a possible medieval cast bronze vessel fragment were also found.

1993. Metal detecting.
Bronze medieval sword chape, front part with elaborate openwork, decorated in form of 2 trefoils above 3 vertical slots, with a trefoil at base. Pierced hole in centre at top and scalloped and 'ogee'-shaped top edge.
?Medieval cast bronze ?vessel fragment.
