Summary

Cropmarks of undated field boundaries and a droveway are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1989. A ring ditch was also identified in the 1989 images, but RAF aerial photographs taken in 1946 show that the ring ditch cropmark actually relates to a Second World War bomb crater.

RAF aerial photographs taken in 1946 show that the possible ring ditch cropmark relates to a large bomb crater in an area of allotments (S2). It is possible that it was mistakenly aimed at the nearby prisoner of war camp NHER 55867.
