1993. Metal detecting and fieldwalking finds. Opposite Further Back Wood.
4 3rd/4th century coins.

Possible Iron Age decorated half round binding strip for shield?
Roman pottery including mortarium, Samian, shelly wares and greywares.
?Medieval gilt copper alloy fragment ?belt fitting.
?Medieval copper alloy strip with pointed ends probably to attach a vessel repair?

2008. Metal-detecting.
This site is one of two possible locations where medieval jettons and a horse harness pendant were recovered in 2008. The other is an area centred at [1] (NHER 52800).

Before April 2009. Metal detecting
35 Roman coins, one Middle Saxon coin, a fragment of Iron Age brooch and an incomplete medieval copper alloy folding clasp. 2 medieval jettons and a medieval horse harness pendant were also recovered, but may have been found at NHER 52800.
