Full Description
February-November 1993. Watching Brief.
Brundall to Whitlingham Rising Main (Field 3988).
Initial fieldwalking and metal-detecting where possible, followed by observation of stripped easement and, where deemed necessary, monitoring of the excavation of the pipe trench itself.
Finds recovered included:
Prehistoric worked flints.
Medieval pottery sherds.
Post-medieval pottery sherds and other finds.
No archaeological features were identified on the stripped surface
once the topsoil was removed.
