Summary

Metal detecting recovered finds dating from the Early Saxon to the post medieval period. These include an Early Saxon cruciform brooch, medieval buckles, a medieval lead weight and parts of two post medieval handles. Medieval coins, a French medieval jetton and a post medieval token were also found.

Full Description

March 1993. Found with metal detector.
Medieval silver coins.
See list in file. Identified by J. Davies (NCM).
13th/14th century medieval bronze annular buckle with pin.
Medieval D-shaped buckle with moulded decoration on frame.
Medieval French jetton 1483 to 1497. Four fleur-de-lys.
Identified by L. Brewster (KLM).

Early Saxon cruciform brooch, possibly Group IV.
Medieval bronze buckle/brooch fragment.
Medieval lead weight.
16th century chafing dish/cupboard handle.
16th/17th century backplate for drawer handle.
