Full Description
Pre 1993. 'In paddock next to the stables' (direction not specified).
Brick and flint foundations uncovered beneath 'a few inches' of soil and meadow grass.
Stables are a mid 20th century building and 1905 Ordnance Survbey map (S1) shows nothing here at all. Informant states he has examined 'early maps' in the Norfolk Record Office and found nothing marked here.
Foundations covered over again after discovery but he will try to get samples for identification.
E. Rose (NLA), 17 August 1993.
