May 2013. Historic Building Recording
Part of this large complex of farm buildings were recorded in 2013 ahead of planned residential conversion. The buildings are all essentially red brick and pantile although some roofs have been recovered. The walling includes extensive coursed but unbonded bricks 'on end' possibly recycled from earlier buildings. The buildings that were the subject of the survey were: a large double length barn with full height dividing wall and lean-to, a cattle shelter and a stable block. The whole farmstead development is considered to most likely date from the early 19th century.
See report (S2) for further details.
A. Yardy (HES), 29 December 2014.
