Summary

A 17th or early 18th century timber framed barn and an early 19th century cart shed. The barn has a brick plinth, wattle and daub infill behind weatherboarding and a thatched roof. Its brick cart porch appears to have been built to replace a timber predecessor and there are many carpenters marks on the timber frame. The cart shed is built of clay lump, brick and flint and has a pantile roof.

Timber framed barn 17th or early 18th century. Brick plinth. Wattle and daub infill behind weatherboarding. Thatched roof. Detailing on collars continues onto principal rafters; other inserted collars. Chamfered arched braces to ties from expanded wallposts. Straight bracing to lower roof pitch. Frame pegged together with many carpenters marks. Later brick cart porch seems to replace a timber predecessor.
