Map

Two timber framed barns, one weatherboarded, formerly thatched.
8 roof bays, principal rafters above tiebeams which rest on arched braces from expanded wallposts. Two levels butt purlins, straight windbracing at ends. Second barn, similar, probably 18th century, V bracing. Flared wallposts except those by entrance which are stepped. Lack of stave grooves in sillbeam suggests weatherboarding original. Tiebeams on slightly curved braces. Integral porch. Attached to both barns are brick stables. Gig house, nag stable and cart lodge in one, English and Flemish bond brickwork.
These buildings predate (S1) with only a few later additions.
See (S2).
E. Rose (NLA) 6 September 1993.
