Summary

Fieldwalking in 1993 and 2008 and sporadic metal-detecting between 1993 and 2025 recovered a late prehistoric flint flake; Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery; Late Iron Age, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval jetton; a post-medieval token and a number of other, Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Saxon trefoil brooch; a Late Saxon/medieval spindle whorl; a medieval buckle, strap mount, thimble, harness pendant and lead ampulla; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments and post-medieval buttons, a buckle and furniture escutcheon plate fragment.
